About the Role
This internship position provides a unique opportunity to learn and grow within our Talent team. As a Talent Data Analyst Intern, you'll support our team in transforming HR data into meaningful insights through dashboards, reports, and analysis. You'll work under close direction while developing fundamental data analysis skills using industry-standard tools. This role combines formal training with practical experience, giving you exposure to real-world HR analytics challenges in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Dashboard Development: Maintain HR dashboards and reports in PowerBI that communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze HR metrics and workforce data using Excel, PowerQuery, SQL, and other tools to support HR decision-making processes
- Data Quality Management: Support data cleaning, validation, and preparation activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of HR analytics
- Process Documentation: Document analytical procedures and maintain records of data sources and transformations
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with HR teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective data solutions
Must Have Skills
- Business Intelligence Reporting: Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI to communicate HR metrics effectively
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data patterns and trends from using Excel, PowerQuery and other tools to support analytical inquiry
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables), PowerQuery, and SQL for data transformation
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in validating data accuracy and maintaining data integrity in analysis
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders in clear, concise language
- Documentation: Capability to create clear records of processes, methodologies, and findings
Preferred Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience or course projects involving data analysis
- Previous internship or academic project experience with data analysis is a plus
