TITLE:                      Senior Associate, Credit Risk

Duties:                    Support 2nd Line of Defense analytical review of credit risk related to underwriting, portfolio management, and loss mitigation processes. Evaluate risk impact of strategy changes, environmental changes, and related layered risk. Provide analytical support, deep diving into emerging credit trends and performing ad-hoc credit reporting. Provide narratives of observations and preparation of presentation materials. Manage real-time trigger reporting. Use analytical techniques to provide insights into portfolio credit quality at segment level and assessment of emerging risk. Communicate findings and recommended enhancements to business partners and review remediation. Develop monitoring for credit decision processes based on aggregation of component (models used in credit decisions, alt-data and other tools) risk and complexity. Design and support business cycle and credit impact assessments. Manage documentation, process, and standards for compliance with credit risk policy requirements. Assist in the compilation of the quarterly Chief Credit Officer submissions. Document and communicate results to senior leadership. Hybrid work from home benefit available 2 times a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Newark, Delaware office.

SCHEDULE:             40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION:             SMB Shared Services, Inc., 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713

REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or other quantitative science field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Risk Analyst, or related role where required experience was gained. Also requires one year of experience in the following:

  • Credit strategy development or credit analytics experience;
  • 2nd Line of Defense performing credit review analytics;
  • Applied experience using statistical tools such as SAS, Python, R, or Tableau;
  • Data management and self-sufficiency in data querying;
  • Credit policy, procedures, and standards; and
  • Regulatory environment.
