Purpose

Anglicare’s data ecosystem powers its ability to serve diverse and vulnerable communities. As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and presenting data to provide actionable insights. Your work will span Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT Core, SQL, Python, and Power BI, delivering data-driven solutions that enable informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and design data models for strategic insights.
• Build and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to ingest source system data.
• Use DBT Core, Python and SQL to transform data for analytics.
• Manage data infrastructure via Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Maintain and enhance master data object processes across data layers.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and business intelligence assets.
• Communicate technical processes in plain English to non-technical stakeholders.
• Document all data processes clearly and concisely.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years working with data extraction (SQL), transformation (Python/DBT), and presentation (Databricks, Power BI).
• Strong programming experience in SQL, Python, C#, or Java.Hands-on experience with Azure and cloud-based data solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS for data visualization.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• A feedback-driven approach to learning and continuous improvement.
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or related fields (preferred).
• Candidates confident with the above will be highly regarded, those with a full stack development background, who can take the occasional project from integration to dashboard and script automations with Databricks, Azure and Windows environments will be next level
