Forecast and lead cloud budgets
Define, track, and communicate critical metrics to measure efficiency of cloud spend optimisation efforts.
Regularly prepare and present clear cloud spend analyses to senior technical and financial partners.
Operational Management & Collaboration:
Apply your expertise in cloud billing models, tools, and configurations to deliver actionable recommendations on cost savings directly to Engineering Managers and leadership.
Act as the central point of contact facilitating effective communication across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Etsy.
Engage cloud service providers to negotiate driven pricing and contracts.
Collaborate across Depop to supervise dependencies, timelines, and mitigate risks related to cloud spend.
Work closely with the Vendor Management team to ensure timely processing of cloud purchase orders and payments.
Maintain compliance with cloud vendor agreements, contractual terms, and internal financial policies.
Cloud Spend Enablement:
Stay abreast of the latest practices, industry trends, and compliance requirements, driving a culture of financial accountability and efficient cloud usage.
Communicate standard processes around cloud spend management, budgeting, and forecasting to all relevant and interested partners
Develop training materials and mentorship to nurture cost awareness and encourage responsible cloud usage.
