Principal Data Scientist I

About the role; As a Data Scientist you will Develop next-generation, industry best, products and solutions using various healthcare and non-healthcare data sources to predict and/or explain potential clinical, financial, compliance and operational risks that our clients face daily 

About the team; This team specializes in leveraging advanced data analytics to enhance decision-making across the healthcare ecosystem. Their services cater to a diverse range of stakeholders, including health systems, payers, life sciences companies, and government agencies.

Qualifications 

• Current and extensive programming skills in Python, SQL (Oracle), H2O and Spark. 
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred). 
• Experience building complex models and utilizing both structured and unstructured Data.
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and applied mathematics. 
• Experience working with healthcare data (SDoH, claims, clinical, provider, and census data). Working familiarity with US healthcare system. 

Responsibilities

• Conducting  data exploration and statistical analysis on complex healthcare datasets. 
• Developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate findings. 
• Locating, identifying and creating attributes. Perform feature engineering and transformation to extract meaningful insights. 
• Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in large, multi-source datasets. 
• Developing predictive models and ML algorithms for health risk assessment, population health insights, and claims analysis. 
• Applying both traditional statistical modeling approach and latest machine learning techniques for unsupervised or semi-supervised learning. 
• Tightly integrating business logic and data understanding into modeling
• Designing data science solutions in Python, SQL, H2O and Spark. 
• Work in a cloud-based (Azure) environment to deploy scalable solutions. 
• Collaborating with data engineers and architects to ensure seamless data integration. 
• Optimizing models for performance, scalability
