This position can be performed in New York City, Sunnyvale, or San Francisco depending upon which location the applicant chosen for the role is currently residing.

Join us in advancing our vision to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce by helping organizations thrive and grow through marketing excellence. LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) Customer Insights team is seeking a dynamic, visionary Strategic  Insights Analyst  with a strong technical background and proven expertise in marketing analytics and campaign measurement innovation to join our global  team,  responsible for developing and scaling leading-edge insights and measurement advisory solutions to support our sales teams with deepening strategic relationships with our marketing customers and driving commercial outcomes powered by the experiences of LinkedIn’s 1B+ members spanning over 200 countries and territories.   

As a Strategic Insights Analyst, you will leverage one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world to discover insights that help serve our clients and agencies through intelligent decision support.  To be successful in this role you need to be highly analytical, with a strong intellectual curiosity and be comfortable responding to and structuring ambiguous requests. You will also have a passion for querying databases in SQL or have comparable technical skills. You must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work with sales teams to figure out exactly what is impactful to clients. Your stakeholders will not always know what is possible, so it is important that you ask effective questions to get clarity in addition to managing expectations on what you can deliver. You will be tasked with communicating custom insights, driving project effectiveness and stakeholder relationships, developing solutions for business problems, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights, all while maintaining coding standards and adhering to data privacy guidelines.   

Key responsibilities in this client-facing role include conducting and scaling custom analyses, preparing and delivering client and agency presentations, providing consultative advice to clients and LinkedIn sales reps and responding to client and agency requests. You will be seen as an expert at using coding languages to extract data from LinkedIn’s massive data warehouse and turning that data into compelling stories that help our clients become more successful and act as a coach and peer mentor to other analysts on the team.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data: Create innovative, custom analyses and tools to address business challenges, including proving and improving customer value 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to drive data asset innovation and deliver business impact. 
  • Insights Generation & Delivery: Analyze LinkedIn and third-party data using SQL, Python, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel), translating findings into actionable business insights and clear presentations. 
  • Client Engagement & Enablement: Represent the Measurement & Insights org in senior client meetings, executive briefings, and support enablement activities to drive adoption and understanding of Insights solutions. 
  • Project & Process Management: Manage custom insights projects, including planning, stakeholder communication, timeline oversight, and project execution to optimize deliverables. 
  • Innovative Analytics & Measurement: Develop and scale innovative analyses and measurement solutions that address business challenges and prove marketing value for clients. 
  • Stakeholder Advocacy: Serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders by understanding needs, providing recommendations, and promoting data-driven decision making to unlock business growth. 
  • Data Privacy & Governance: Adhere to data privacy, security, and exemplify coding standards to ensure compliant handling and sharing of data across all projects and stakeholders. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications   

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, math, statistics, economics or related quantitative field 
  • 8+ years' experience working in marketing analytics or related analytical field 
  • 5+ years' experience using SQL or similar querying language   
  • 5+ years' experience in a consultative or advisory role   
  • 3+ years' experience in project or program management 

 Preferred Qualifications  

  • 11+ years' experience working in marketing analytics or related analytical field 
  • 8+ years' experience using SQL or similar querying language   
  • 6+ years' experience in a consultative or advisory role   
  • 4+ years' experience in project or program management  
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization and storytelling    
  • Experience in performance and digital marketing with familiarity of the media agency landscape  
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences   
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.    

The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $192,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
