What You'll do:
- Administer and maintain Oracle 11g/12c environments, including Data Guard configuration and monitoring.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL (versions 13 to 17) databases with high availability solutions like Pacemaker, Pgpool, Barman, and Percona tools.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server (2012 to 2019) environments, including AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
- Support and maintain MySQL 5.7/8.0 in replicated environments, ensuring performance and data consistency.
- Perform backup, restore, replication, and failover testing across multiple RDBMS platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance, storage, and availability issues in complex database environments.
- (Optionally) Work with Redis and Elasticsearch for high-performance caching and search solutions.
- Contribute to the adoption and management of cloud-based data services across providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
What You Are:
- 5+ years of experience managing mission-critical databases across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and MySQL.
- Deep knowledge of high availability, replication, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Experience with advanced tools such as Oracle Data Guard, PostgreSQL clustering tools, and SQL Server AlwaysOn.
- Comfort working across on-premises and cloud environments, with an interest in expanding cloud-native database expertise.
- Bonus: experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, or other NoSQL/search solutions is highly valued.
- A detail-oriented, performance-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- A team player who is passionate about data integrity, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
