Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer in the CORE team (Centralized Orfium Revenue Engine) of the Platform Value Stream, you’ll be at the heart of our billing and reporting systems, ensuring accurate, scalable, and efficient data workflows that serve our global client base.

Requirements

🚀 Responsibilities 

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Airflow and DBT to support Orfium’s billing and reporting data products.
• Work with Snowflake and AWS to manage data infrastructure, ensure high performance, and contribute to cost-efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and service delivery) to translate business requirements into reliable and production-ready data solutions.
• Contribute to data quality, platform reliability, and technical debt management across the data lifecycle.
• Support the design and implementation of data models and transformations, ensuring clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate actively in Data Chapter meetings and Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives.
• Bring your fresh ideas, technical excellence, and collaborative mindset to help us shape the future of data at Orfium.

🏆 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a relevant technology field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation and pipeline development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices for deploying and maintaining data pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and operations.
• A mindset focused on data quality, performance, and scalability.
• Solid data problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong team player attitude.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Prior experience working in an Agile environment and contributing to iterative delivery
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows, using tools like Airflow for orchestration and DBT for transformation and modeling
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehousing platforms, ideally Snowflake (or Databricks).
• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Exposure to data visualization and BI tools like Tableau, Metabase, or similar.
