About the opportunity
As a member of the Performance Engineering team, the Sr. Performance Engineer has a proven track record of being a key member of high-performing teams who thrives in attacking high-profile performance bottlenecks and identifying cost-effective solutions. You will get hands-on experience pushing the limits of our applications' scale, performance, and reliability. You will also use data analysis techniques to help determine the next problem before it happens. As a subject matter expert in all thing’s performance, you will lead collaborations with Product Managers, Developers, Architects, and Site Reliability Engineers, among other key stakeholders.
What you’ll get to do
• Non-functional requirement gathering, performance test planning, consulting and handling end to end cycle of customer facing engagements
• Lead investigation, identification, and resolution of key performance bottlenecks for enterprise SaaS applications of various architectures, including multi-tier web applications and microservices-based applications.
• Lead operational process improvement in performance engineering best practices.
• Design, author, and maintain performance tests and experiments to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability requirements are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system performance parameters aligned with product roadmap requirements.
• Design capacity experiments to determine scaling and utilization parameters for various service tiers.
• Conduct code reviews for the team.
• Participate in application design planning sessions.
• Design and develop tools to monitor, mine, and visualize performance data from cloud environments.
• Analyze, report, and track performance results and recommendations to release management stakeholders.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and optimizing software solutions on public cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)) and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with performance tests in tools such as JMeter, K6, LoadRunner, and Gatling.
• Experience using application performance monitoring tools, such as AppDynamics, Application Insights, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
• Familiarity with browser automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Puppeteer.
• Coding skills in a modern programming language such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Proficiency with SQL and a thorough understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
• Working knowledge of web technologies including HTML, HTTP, REST, JSON, and JavaScript
What would make you really stand out
• Advance Azure certification such as DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with chaos engineering tools and techniques.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Grafana and PowerBI.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools, including machine learning.
• Human Capital Management domain experience.
• Understanding of FinOps concepts.
