Data Engineer for ESG team

The amount of data in NN ESG team is vast and incresing exponentially. These big, fast growing, volumes of data can only be used effectively when the data can be transformed into information, for which it needs to be correct, accurate, appropriate, complete, on time and consistent. That is why we are hiring Senior Data Engineer in Prague now.

Your impact at NN

The mission you will join is all about the development of a standardized data platform for ESG team, with ready-to-use reporting and analysis data, which will provide us one single source of truth. This tool is developed on NN Microsoft Azure Cloud broader platform.

The tasks you will perform

• Developing and maintaining the data platform architecture itself.

• Managing data ingestion, transformation and loading for ESG analytics.

• Developing, maintaining, and testing CI/CD pipelines to enhance overall automation processes.

• Communicating with all necessary technical and non-technical international stakeholders.

• Collaborating, communicating, and sharing knowledge with other data colleagues to enhance and create new data products and tools within NN.

The knowledge and experience you bring

• You are proficient in Azure and its data services tools, and Databricks, as well as Python, etc.

• Working in Agile environment within a corporate company, is nothing new to you.

• You are comfortable managing end-to-end data workflows, from ingestion to loading, and have hands-on experience with building and maintaining data pipelines.

• Communication with various technical and non-technical stakeholders in English comes naturally to you.

• Familiarity with the ESG industry is a plus, and hands-on experience is even better.

How we hire

After reviewing your application, including your CV in English, you will receive a short phone call from Petra (Talent Acquisition Partner) to discuss basic details about your previous work experience and the open position. If everything goes well, we will meet twice in total. The first round will preferably be a face-to-face meeting at our office in Prague with Thijs (Hiring Manager) or Marian (Team Lead), and Petra. In the second round, you will meet one of the Product Owners from the Netherlands.
