Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Data Strategy Analyst to join our Business Transformation team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in aligning data initiatives across our global enterprise, operationalizing Magna’s enterprise data models, governance frameworks, and information strategy.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in effectively collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders to understand current data schemas and implement initiatives in line with Magna's data strategies. They will be responsible for standardizing data definitions and actively supporting enterprise-wide transformation efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to help lay the foundation for Magna’s data-driven future.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business units and technical teams to define, maintain and perform analysis of enterprise data
• Partner with functional leaders to document critical data elements and standard definitions
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and processes
• Support data quality initiatives and help define KPIs for data health and usage
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to align on data strategy goals
• Assist in aligning business transformation efforts with Magna’s enterprise data architecture
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT to ensure data needs are met
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data strategy, business analysis, or related roles. Experience implementing enterprise solutions within Magna.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, master data, metadata, and data governance principles
• Proven ability to work with business users to define data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
• Familiarity with enterprise data tools (e.g., SAP, MDM, MDG, Power BI, or similar)
• Strong facilitation, communication, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or ERP implementations
• Experience and understanding of manufacturing and/or supply chain data domains
• Ability to work with large data sets to derive correlation or analytics
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance frameworks
• Exposure to cloud data platforms
