About the job

In that context of our net zero transformation, we are looking for a Climate Data Analyst who will play a pivotal role in developing new Data analytics and Data Science techniques to inform decision-making and fuel our Decarbonization roadmap. 

In this position, you will report to our NetZero Transformation lead.

The position is based in Barcelona (Spain).

Key Responsibilities:

1/ Ensure Carbon data are collected, actionable, governed, scalable and integrated throughout the organization:

  • Design pragmatic solutions to improve calculation methods from primary systems and develop automated data collection processes and pipelines to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of data, utilizing APIs and database connections.

  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to design and optimize data architectures, storage solutions, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data management and access.

  • Implement data stewardship and governance to maintain data integrity, consistency, and reliability across various data sources.

  • Establish a centralized data repository to serve as the single source of truth for carbone data within the organization.

2/ Provide cross functional teams (Science Hub, Manufacturing and Supply, Procurement, Brands) with the relevant data support to help them to articulate their decarbonization road map:

  • Develop and maintain data visualisation (dashboards, reports, and performance metrics) to track key Decarbonization indicators.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and predictive modeling to assess the potential decarbonation opportunities and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings, and revenue generation through carbon-related initiatives.

  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on data access, data visualization tools, and best practices for utilizing the centralized data repository effectively.

3/ Develop our Net Zero Digital transformation roadmap

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 5-7 years of experience in similar data management role

  • Statistical modeling / data analysis experience in R, Python, SAS or similar tools

  • Strong SQL command and the ability to write complex queries on big data sets

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics.

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources including web APIs, databases and flat files.

  • Data Experience applied in a Scope 3 / Product Carbon foot-printing context is a strong plus.  

  • Ability to convey complex data insights clearly

  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities & experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
