Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Enterprise AI Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer, AI Talent and Training Development.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the strategic development and execution of talent and training development initiatives in the Enterprise AI organization.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, the person in this role will support the Enterprise AI department's objective to empower the talent acquisition and training development of the AI organization in alignment with Toyota’s long term business objectives and workforce planning.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of talent acquisition initiatives for AI roles, ensuring alignment with Toyota’s long-term business objectives and workforce planning.

  • Design and implement advanced training programs focused on AI technologies, machine learning, and data analytics, aimed at enhancing employee skills and competencies.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify critical skill gaps and training needs, creating targeted learning paths to support organizational growth.

  • Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of talent development initiatives, driving continuous improvement based on data-driven insights.

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, industry organizations, and training providers to enhance Toyota’s talent pipeline and access to cutting-edge knowledge.

  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the AI community at Toyota.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in AI talent management and training, integrating relevant advancements into Toyota’s talent strategy.

  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion in AI talent acquisition and development, ensuring equitable opportunities for underrepresented groups in the field.

  • Engage with senior leadership to align talent and training initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring strategic support for AI workforce development.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in talent acquisition, training, or organizational development, with a proven track record in the technology or AI sectors.

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and the skills required for success in AI roles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective training programs and talent development initiatives that drive organizational performance.

  • Proven experience in building partnerships with educational institutions and industry organizations to enhance talent acquisition and training efforts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in talent management, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training evaluation methodologies, enhancing the ability to assess program effectiveness.

Added bonus if you have

  • An advanced degree preferred.

  • Certification in Human Resources or Talent Development is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
