We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with large datasets, performing deep analysis, and presenting actionable insights using modern tools and technologies. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to data-driven decision-making initiatives.
You will primarily work with Python for data manipulation and automation, SQL for querying and managing databases, and Domo for data visualization and dashboard creation.

Key Requirements

  • Data Extraction and Analysis:
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets.
  • Develop Python scripts for automating data preparation and analysis workflows.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to discover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Dashboarding and Reporting:
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports in Domo.
  • Design intuitive data visualizations to support business strategies and initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions.
  • Data Management and Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in data validation, integrity checks, and troubleshooting.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and analysis results.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to ensure data availability and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and leadership to understand data needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL (writing complex joins, subqueries, CTEs).
  • Strong experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Domo or similar BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Understanding of data wrangling, cleansing, and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and data methodologies.
