AI Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Adonis is on a mission to automate Revenue Cycle - and our agents are at the center of that vision. The Adonis approach is to diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and automate resolution, all using our agentic capabilities. 

We’re hiring an AI Product Engineer on the Product team to bring these agents to life. This role sits at the intersection of Customer Success, Product, and Engineering—transforming business use cases into structured automations and ensuring our agents deliver high-impact outcomes. You’ll dive deep into data, build agentic workflows, and iterate fast to improve agent performance across our customer base. You’ll also be at the forefront of R&D and experimentation at Adonis, partnering with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to deploy and validate new use cases with speed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and Deploy AI Agents

• Translate business problems into structured agent workflows
• Write and maintain SQL to extract and transform customer data
• Design, test, and iterate prompt-based automations
• Partner with Engineering to implement agent workflows using Python/scripting tools
• Prototype and validate new use cases rapidly with internal and external stakeholders

Monitor & Improve Agent Performance

• Track daily agent activity, flagging errors or breakdowns in performance
• Evaluate AI Agent performance and collaborate with Product and Customer Success to refine experiences.
• Continuously iterate based on client success metrics and user feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues with agent workflows and surface technical blockers to relevant teams.

Enable Scalable Execution

• Write clear documentation, SOPs, and agent playbooks
• Collaborate with internal and external vendors to drive smooth execution
• Serve as the internal go-to expert on how agents behave and how to debug issues

Test & Assure Quality

• Create comprehensive evals and test cases and rigorously QA AI Agents to meet both Adonis and customer quality standards.
• Build scalable QA tooling where needed, ensuring customers can trust agent performance

Provide Product Feedback

• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to surface bugs, identify product gaps, and suggest new features based on real-world usage.
• Help shape the future of the platform with actionable insights from your daily work.

Support Sales Efforts

• Build Agent MVPs and tailored demos for prospective customers
• Collaborate with Sales and CS on proof-of-concept projects

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• You have 1–2 years of experience through work, internships, or standout personal projects that demonstrate your technical skills and creative thinking.
• You’re confident working with SQL and Python, and you’ve got experience in automation and scripting to streamline processes.
• You’re deeply curious about Agentic AI. You follow new developments in the field and have dabbled in prompt engineering or conversational design—whether for school, work, or just for fun.
• You naturally break problems into smaller pieces and enjoy experimenting with different solutions. You iterate quickly, draw inspiration from others, and build on what you’ve learned before.
• You know how to juggle multiple tasks, manage your time, and communicate clearly. When priorities shift, you adapt—and you’re not afraid to ask for help when it’s needed.
• You’re highly detail-oriented and process-driven - you naturally write things down and improve documentation as you go.
• You take full accountability for your work. You move fast, make smart trade-offs, and do what it takes to deliver results. You don’t wait for someone else to step in—you lead the charge.

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with prompt engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000 yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.
