Role purpose
- The role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with Customer Operations / Origination / Finance / Risk to secure their buy-in and implement improvements to systems, processes, and technology, as appropriate.
- To apply knowledge and insights concerning the Customer Operations function and how this impacts our policyholders.
- To deliver strong business outcomes relating to capital, profitability, the Company brand and market reputation whilst achieving positive outcomes to our [policyholders, shareholders, and reinsurers on a consistent basis.

Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Reinsurance Data Analyst within Reinsurance Operations:
- Develop strong relationships with our reinsurance counterparties, maintaining an excellent standard of service and ensuring the delivery of key initiatives.
- Responsible for the successful delivery of accurate settlement reporting, data updates, collateral calculations and data verification, in line with contractual deadlines.
- Support the continued integration of our administration platform (LISA) into our target operating model, successfully migrating new reinsurance data and further developing functionality.
- Effectively collaborate with the Reinsurance Operations team and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure team processes are fully documented and identify and support the implementation of appropriate operational efficiencies.
- Carry out effective risk management by actively considering risks in your day-to-day work, reporting risk incidents, and engaging proactively and positively with PIC’s Assurance Functions.
- Support the provision of MI by the accurate and timely completion of calendars, trackers and other statistics.
- Take ownership for their own learning and development in both technical (e.g. data analysis and critical judgement) and non-technical (self-insight and relationship management) skills of Reinsurance Operations.
Requirements
Knowledge
- Knowledge of longevity reinsurance administration
- Familiar with defined benefit pensions
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
Experience
- Experience of data analysis and reconciliations
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service
