What you'll be doing

• Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management.
• Conduct analyses and opportunity sizing to define addressable markets and operational opportunities for improvement.
• Develop key dashboards and automated reporting related to key performance metrics.
• Deliver enhancements to detect drop in authorizations and propose solutions to improve authorization rate strategy.
• Leverage Roku Pay data and reporting infrastructure to extract new insights on our authorization rates and cost data, helping to create a more informed perspective on strategies that can be employed for optimization of Roku Pay’s payment authorization rates.
• Work with other teams and stakeholders to make recommendations on new strategies to catch trends earlier.
• Partner with Payments, Analytics and Data Engineering to uncover key opportunities to automate alerts and monitoring for Payment flows; provide reporting to track outcomes around these opportunities.

Up to two days per week telecommuting may be permitted.

You are required to have

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Business Analytics, International Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• Must have coursework, advance level coursework, project background, internship experience, or work experience in each of the following:
  1. Preparing payment health reports, authorization rate optimization strategies, and payment analytics-related deck for executive-level review.
  2. Write and optimize SQL queries using Presto, Hive, and PySpark for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  3. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python.
  4. Use data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data cleaning and preparation.
  5. Create dashboards and reports in Tableau to represent data trends and insights.
  6. Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate new features, and perform hypothesis testing to determine statistical significance.
  7. Use machine learning algorithms like XGBoost, Random Forest, and K-Means to develop, train, and validate models focused on enhancing decision-making processes.

The annual salary for this position for California only is between $126,000 - $180,000.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
