Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Our Go-To-Market Strategy and Operations organisation is responsible for building the ultimate go-to-market engine to connect our solutions with customer needs at scale. As a GTM Strategy and Operations Manager you will be taking on a leadership role to help crack the most important strategic topics in the sales organization, driving revenue growth and improving sales productivity and customer value. In 2023, this also means thinking with an AI-first mentality and leveraging the latest tools at our disposal to create smart, efficient and scalable processes for our sales organization, as well as being comfortable with complex data queries, data management and visualizations.
This individual will act as an advisor to executives in the sales organization and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational problems facing the business. As a GTM Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be partnering with senior sales executives to assess business performance and derive actionable insights focused on driving revenue growth, sales productivity, and customer value. The Manager is also responsible for leading end-to-end and high-impact projects, program managing, and scaling operational and planning processes (e.g. building sales territories, setting sales targets, and leveraging AI for this) in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Product, Marketing, Customer Success) and with a high degree of independence and critical decision-making.
The Manager should have a strong strategic mindset and communications skills and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical business decisions. They should be able to think about the “so-what’s” and act like owners of the business, driving end-to-end sales segments and transformational projects. The candidate should also be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information, have attention to detail, be open-minded to challenge the status quo, and work on a rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence from themselves and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and provide recommendations on a variety of decision-making projects that will shape LinkedIn’s future go-to-market model.
- Act like an owner in driving end-to-end leadership of all planning processes – headcount, financial plan, territory plan, and quota planning by project managing at scale.
- Optimize and scale processes with automation and AI in partnership with Data Science and Engineering.
- Operate as liaison and POC for LMS sales leadership team in APAC.
- Lead strategic projects to determine the direction of the global GTM Ops team and help establish operating priorities to drive business growth.
- Establish strong working relationships with peers in other GTM Strategy & Operations teams and cross-functional partners (business operations, sales leadership, product, finance, marketing, and systems teams) to achieve objectives.
- Perform complex data analysis and share insights by leveraging tools like SQL, Tableau, Anaplan, SFDC.
- Contribute to the “people-first” culture of the team by taking on projects to drive engagement and motivation within the team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in management consulting, finance, sales operations, business operations, product, or an analytical/operational role
- 3+ years experience of operating with SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working with Tableau, and/or Presto, Anaplan.
- Experience with AI (Prompt engineering, business process and workflow automation) or a strong and demonstrable interest in learning this space.
- Experience with working with Python.
- ability to work autonomously to drive business outcomes that align with a global strategy
- Experience managing complex projects and initiatives end-to-end.
- Experience scaling and growing a business from a GM-like role. Full ownership of a P&L or an operational segment within a larger business.
- Ability to leverage numbers and insights to influence & drive sound decision making.
- Experience in communicating effectively and presenting to Senior Executives.
- Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders.
- MBA or Master’s Degree in business, economics, data science, engineering, or other STEM.
- Experience working in the SaaS or Ads Tech industry.
- Experience in Product Strategy and/or Product Management.
- Experience in Data Science and/or Data Analytics.
- Motivation to stand out from the crowd, disrupting the norm to help their business win.
- Ability to effectively solve complex problems from high priority strategic initiatives.
