Job Description

Information security is an integral part of Visa’s corporate culture.  It is essential to maintain our position as an industry leader in electronic payments, and it is the responsibility of each employee to safeguard information, protect it from unauthorized access, and ensure regulatory compliance.  Information security has a significant effect on privacy, consumer confidence, external reputation, and/or the bottom line, and it is a priority on everyone’s agenda.

The successful incumbent will be part of Visa’s Business to Business Identity & Access Management team, which is part of the larger Cybersecurity organization. The B2B IAM team has a Global focus, and is responsive to an evolving threat landscape, regulatory compliance, IT security requirements and technology architecture. The B2B IAM team is responsible for secure access to business portals and associated services.

Essential Functions

  • Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and evolving environment, to drive delivery of design and architecture of IAM solutions.
  • Actively participate in Solution design, architecture and development of key initiatives. Ensure developed solutions adhere to established architectural best patterns and target state. 
  • Create an engineering culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IAM architecture to ensure secure and efficient management of client identities.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines related to client identity and access management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security, product management, and customer support to integrate B2B IAM solutions into various applications and services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of architects, engineers, and developers.
  • Work with security architecture to run security assessments and audits of IAM systems to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in identity and access management.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, training materials, and presentations to stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience..

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Be proficient with any of the Language Like: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript
• Knowledge of design patterns: REST API, API security etc.
• Familiarity with various industry audit/security standards including PCI-DSS, NIST and FFIEC
• Understands release managements and familiar with tools like Jira and Wiki
• Strong understanding of B2B IAM concepts, technologies, and standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA, and identity federation.
• Experience with IAM platforms and tools such as Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, or similar.
• Excellent knowledge of security, best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are a plus.
• Knowledge of Generative AI: machine learning algorithms, neural networks, experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and LLM models
• Have expertise in using tools (e.g., Splunk) to create comprehensive reports and dashboards for TLT consumption, facilitating data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
• Have expert knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Clear, professional communication skills, able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile and collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of ForgeRock AM to define authentication and authorization policies

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 175,100.00 to 253,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
