Job Description

Team you will be working with: Personal Onboarding Verification

The Engineering Team at Wise is central to what has made the business successful. Having product-focused and forward-thinking engineers has allowed Wise to cater to the needs of customers unlike any other business. They have built a world-leading platform and product, but there is still more to do.

The Personal Onboarding Verification team at Wise is the team responsible for KYC checks and identity verification that our customers have to go through before they are compliant to start using our products. The team is responsibility spans end-to-end from document collection flows customer have to go through to submit their data, to automated review using external vendors or internal ML models, to tooling our agents use, and finally the whole lifecycle of the collected information. 

Qualifications

What we expect from you:

- You have 5+ years of Java 8+ knowledge, experience with Spring framework
- A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
- Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
- You enjoy writing clean and testable code
- You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
