Telenet has a large organization with more than 150 data colleagues, working shoulder to shoulder with business teams to unlock value potential with data and AI across the company. As the Manager Data Governance, you will be leading the Data Governance team of our data organization, focused on coordinating “how” teams across the company work with data.

As the Manager Data Governance…

• You own the Data Product Policy framework that clarifies how we do Data Product Management at Telenet for all of our data colleagues (data analysts, - scientists, - engineers, …) as well as business stakeholders.
• You lead the Data Governance team consisting of Data Strategists, Data Governance Experts, and – Engineers in operationalizing the Data Product Policies and providing the necessary capabilities to support data colleagues in meeting expectations (data catalog, lineage, …).
• You coordinate with Legal, Risk, Security, and Compliance colleagues across Telenet to ensure data handling is compliant with internal guardrails and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIS2).
• You promote the value of governance through clear storytelling and real-world examples that connect governance to business impact.

The ideal candidate has …

• Expertise in data & AI governance, with a focus on driving business value.
• A master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional skills in structured thinking, problem-solving, and strategic analysis.
• Proficiency in crafting and delivering impactful narratives.
• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and project execution.
• A proactive and results-driven attitude with a commitment to excellence.
• Experience in guiding and coaching a team of professionals.
