We’re looking for a People Analytics Specialist to join our People Analytics function.

This particular role sits within our Employee Listening team. While you will have opportunities to conduct research and analysis on a broad spectrum of people areas you will primarily focus on our large scale employee surveys and other emerging areas of sentiment analysis across Meta. You will serve as an active partner with our cross-functional partners (for example, Human Resources, Engineering, Communications team) to design and perform research and analyses, develop data-driven narratives, and inform product and metric development. The ideal candidate will have solid quantitative and qualitative skills, experience summarizing analyses for technical and non-technical audiences, experience in survey design and experience working across a variety of people areas, and someone who can operate in ambiguity and uses creativity to overcome challenges.People Analytics Specialist, People Analytics (Short-Term Employment) Responsibilities
  • Apply your expertise in people research, quantitative and qualitative analyses, data science and data visualization to understand employee sentiment and inform stakeholders
  • Communicate statistical analyses and results, along with implications, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Conduct predictive modeling of key outcomes of interest (e.g. employee engagement, company values, optimism) using survey data as ground truth
  • Bring together Meta-specific data and outside research to help leaders understand people issues
  • Combine various data sources through privacy preserving mechanisms to provide insights
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data
  • Collaborate effectively with other listening and people analytics team members, our cross-functional partners, and vendor to identify and clarify critical people issues, thoroughly understand our people processes, and analyze data to drive improvements
  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs
  • Leverage tools, such as Structured Query Language, Tableau, and Excel to drive analytics and enable client self-service on routine queries
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD, or MS within a field emphasizing people research in organizations (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Data Science, etc. or related degree)
  • 3+ years of experience applying multivariate statistical methods such as Generalized Linear Modeling, analysis of quasi-experimental research designs with non-equivalent groups (e.g., regression adjustment, matching, propensity score stratification), longitudinal analysis, classification, dimension reduction, clustering, hierarchical linear (random effects) modeling, etc
  • Experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as Structured Query Language, R or Python
  • Experience developing tools, conducting empirical research, practical implementation, knowledge of best practices around employee survey design, analysis, and reporting
  • Experienced in survey design and implementation
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience working internally (as opposed to consulting) in an organization with 500+ professional employees (e.g., tech, financial services, healthcare, biotech, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative people research in an organization or consulting environment, including working with stakeholders to understand and clarify their people research needs, and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience developing tools, conducting empirical research, practical implementation, knowledge of best practices in at least two of the following areas: employee selection, employee engagement, performance management, or retention
  • Experience conceiving, developing, running pilot tests, implementing, and continuously improving large-scale people measurement processes
  • 2+ years of experience with machine learning, text mining or modeling high-dimensional data

US$105,000/year to US$156,000/year + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
