Lead Data Engineer

• Lead the development and maintenance of data pipelines using SAS Data Integration (DI) Studio, SAS SMC, SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), SAS Viya SAS Stored Processes and Basic Linux scripting.
• Design and implement efficient SAS coding solutions using SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Defining best practices in Oracle DWH in terms of indexes, partitions etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, model, and deliver data-driven solutions that align with business objectives.
• Conduct performance tuning and code optimization to ensure the scalability and efficiency of data solutions.
• Develop and manage complex data workflows and ensure seamless integration with other data platforms and sources.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior data engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by implementing robust data governance and validation checks.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define technical specifications, and develop project plans.
• Create documentation for data processes, code, and technical workflows, ensuring clarity and accessibility for maintenance and collaboration.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAS tools, data engineering practices, and relevant industry standards within the BFSI sector.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience working with SAS tools such as SAS DI Studio, SAS SMC, SAS EG, SAS Stored Processes, SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS SQL and Basic Linux Scripting.
• Experience in Oracle DWH environment. 
• Domain Expertise: Proven track record of working within the BFSI domain, with an in-depth understanding of financial data structures, risk analysis, and reporting.
• Technical Skills: Advanced SAS coding skills with expertise in building and optimizing complex data pipelines. Proficiency in developing and maintaining SAS Macros for process automation. Strong knowledge of SAS SQL for data querying and manipulation.
