About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an analyst-level, cross asset Quantitative Data Analyst who will act as liaison for business insights between the electronic FICC strats team and business partners. They will work closely with the systematic FX and Rates trading and sales desks, building reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytics leveraging Wells Fargo’s front office data strategy.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working as a data scientist, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting high-level insights into data, using cutting edge data technologies. They will have the ability to learn and apply business context to analyses, to help drive positive business outcomes.

This role will have the exciting opportunity to be directly involved in a focal growth area within the franchise, learn about trading across multiple asset classes, and will provide significant opportunity for growth in this space.

In this role, you will:

  • As part of the electronic quantitative strategy team, liaise with the trading, sales, product, and COO teams to provide business and client metrics, analytics, and insights
  • Build custom dashboards, reports, and business intelligence using cutting-edge technologies
  • Produce analyses and data visualizations to be shared with business partners
  • Assist with creation of presentations for business counterparts and senior management
  • Gain a deep understanding of the eFX and eRates trading businesses
  • Learn about the role of, and unique approach to, data and quantitative strategy in sell-side market making
  • Maintain, develop, and enhance a centralized analytics API


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science


Desired Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience as a data scientist, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: internships, work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Python proficiency, including pandas, numpy, scipy, and plotly
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
  • Proficiency in applied statistics, time series analysis, data cleaning, mining, and visualization
  • Strong written and verbal communication; rapid synthesis of information
  • Excel, PowerPoint experience
  • HTML, Javascript, CSS and/or OpenFin UI experience is a plus
  • Java knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL queries and experience with streaming tick databases
  • Some experience with timeseries databases (KDB, Deephaven, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment

Job Expectations:

  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$100,800.00 - $179,200.00
