Position Responsibilities:

Develop analytical platforms to transform data and drive the strategy and development of Machine Learning platform and features. Create and deliver data features to shape critical business products in Samsung Ads that ultimately influences a major aspect of data platforms and ad servicing products. Analyze and process large sets of data, and create and manage data pipelines and products. Perform exploratory data analysis and data validation before ingestion using technical tools and software. Responsible for onboarding terabytes of data efficiently and within the desired SLA. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product and marketing to understand their data needs and build data modeling features and products to drive the business forward. Contribute towards building a data system with a test-driven development and agile approach. Identify solutions to business issues using data analytical results and deliver products with top notch quality in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with other team members in breaking down tasks and implementation of the data-oriented initiatives all the way to product release. Develop advanced solutions by leveraging deep expertise in System Design and Architecture, adeptly navigating and enhancing established Codebases, and utilizing cloud infrastructure services. Design and build robust, scalable Web Applications with a Microservices architecture, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Staff Engineer I, Data Engineering or related occupation in data analytical and software development engineering. The 5 years of experience must have included: 1. Building data pipelines for onboarding data using Spark and Airflow; 2. Experience with microservices and Rest Api’s, and Amazon AWS technologies including S3, EMR, Lambda; 3. Experience with database technologies, including MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Vertica; 4. Working on complex issues where analyzing situations, and data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables; 5. Experience with Airflow, Spark, Python, Java, AWS and CS fundamentals, Object Oriented design and development; and 6. Experience in core Machine Learning domains, including Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $211,536/year to $283,000/year
