About the Job

Are you ready to shape the future of medicine? The race is on to speed up drug discovery and development to find answers for patients and their families. Your skills could be critical in helping our teams accelerate progress.

We are seeking a curious, driven and collaborative postdoctoral scientist to join our Commercial Cell Culture Development team within Sanofi’s Mammalian Platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cell Science and Technology team, whose mission is to optimize Sanofi’s stable cell line Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) expression platform. This role will support a cross-functional project aimed at advancing the development and production of complex biologics through innovative approaches in cell line engineering, high-resolution imaging, and computational analysis.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology, along with a keen interest in applying data science and machine learning to biological systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research while mentoring junior scientists and working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.

We are an innovative global healthcare company with one purpose: to chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. We’re also a company where you can flourish and grow your career, with countless opportunities to explore, make connections with people, and stretch the limits of what you thought was possible. Ready to get started?

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize image-based assays to assess cellular phenotypes, protein localization and quality

  • Analyze large-scale biological datasets using statistical and machine learning approaches

  • Apply computational tools and custom scripts to process, visualize, and interpret experimental data

  • Design and generate stable CHO cell lines expressing candidate biotherapeutics using various integration strategies

  • Perform molecular and phenotypic characterization of engineered cell lines

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate experimental and computational insights into cell line and molecule development strategies

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior scientists and research associates involved in the project.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, and contribute to internal reports, presentations, and publications

  • Stay current with relevant scientific literature and emerging technologies in cell engineering, imaging, and computational biology

  • Mentor junior scientists
