JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The CCBHC Clinical Data Performance Coordinator is a program-facing role responsible for supporting the CCBHC demonstration project through the direct analysis and interpretation of clinical and performance data. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing quality, validity, accessibility and utilization of CCBHC clinical data at Centerstone by identifying relevant clinical metrics, sourcing and validating data, and collaborating closely with clinical and program staff to monitor outcomes and implement data-informed enhancements to care delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Improving Data Capture efficiency and consistency

  • Ensure data collection methods are efficient, standardized, accurate, and aligned with best practices.
  • Support the integration of clinical data with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other health information systems.
  • Identify, define, and track clinical performance and outcome metrics aligned with CCBHC requirements and organizational goals.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Ensure that all data activities support direct service delivery and are aligned with CCBHC reporting and performance objectives.
  • Define clinical metrics by collaborating with clinical leadership to identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome measures required under the CCBHC demonstration project, including those related to access, quality, and service utilization.
  • Collect, extract, and validate data from electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, and other clinical databases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Track program performance over time and conduct trend analyses to assess effectiveness of services, identify gaps in care, and evaluate compliance with CCBHC standards.

Identifying and resolving process issues

  • Identify areas of concern regarding data availability or accuracy
  • Investigate causes of missing or inaccurate data
  • Work with persons or groups responsible for data capture to improve availability and accuracy of data.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with clinical teams, program managers, and quality improvement staff to interpret data findings, identify performance challenges, and co-develop actionable improvement plans to support efficient and effective patient care.
  • Work directly with clinical and operational stakeholders to interpret data trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain real-time dashboards and performance scorecards to provide stakeholders with accessible and actionable insights into program performance.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by facilitating root cause analyses, Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, and other structured improvement methods based on data insights.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Develop and provide training and guidance to program staff regarding data entry, data quality, use of data for clinical decision-making, and performance improvement including how to interpret key metrics and apply findings to practice.
  • Work with training staff to develop educational materials and resources to promote a culture of data-driven care for the CCBHC program.
  • Support staff in using data tools (e.g., EHR systems, reporting platforms) to track and monitor patient progress effectively.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in clinical data strategies, health analytics, mental health research, quality measures, behavioral health data standards, and CCBHC policy updates to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Identify new opportunities for leveraging CCBHC clinical data to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and overall service quality.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and initiatives focused on enhancing patient care and optimizing CCBHC service delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in data management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and presenting data insights with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of mental health treatment protocols and relevant outcome measures (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.)
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA and data privacy standards, related to healthcare data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Familiarity with quality reporting frameworks such as HEDIS, NCQA, CMS quality measures, or SAMHSA’s CCBHC criteria.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python) is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Health Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MPH, MS in Health Informatics, MSW with strong data background, MHA) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or behavioral health data analysis, performance measurement, or quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electronic health records (EHRs), health information systems, or data warehouses (e.g., Epic, Netsmart, Cerner, etc.).
  • Experience supporting performance improvement projects and interpreting clinical or operational data in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in or with community mental health centers, CCBHCs, or other behavioral health programs is strongly preferred.

Pay Range:

$74,400.00--$111,600.00
