QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Vantage is seeking a QA Automation Engineer who’s looking to make a big impact in our growing team. We need someone who enjoys finding problems for the opportunity it brings to solve them, a professional bug hunter who’s as tenacious as they are meticulous.

The role is based in Toronto (or the GTA) Canada, but will operate remotely apart from some minimal travel and team get-togethers. So, if this sounds like the role for you, read on!

Minimum Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a QA, test automation environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• Hands-on experience with manual testing in addition to your automation experience.

• Proficiency with JavaScript and Python, or equivalent programming languages.

• A history of working with testing tools including Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, CircleCI, and Appium.

• A meaningful understanding of the major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Experience using workflow tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API functional regression coverage using the Playwright framework.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure consistent, reliable validation during deployments.

• Create and improve testing-related documentation.

• Participate in functional, system, integration, and regression testing activities.

• Work closely with the automation group to automate features for regression coverage.

• Enforce bug free implementations by identifying what’s wrong ,troubleshooting and providing feedback.

• Understand and incorporate both industry and Vantage software development standards and best practices in all work initiatives.

• Review technical logs and not only pinpoint problems, but propose solutions.
