The Position

Part of the wider Flutter family, FanDuel is the market leader in the US betting market and is on a fast growth trajectory across all Sports. This role is a great opportunity for someone that wants to help build what will eventually be the biggest online sportsbook in the world.

The role will require you to influence and drive performance for the FanDuel brand across multiple Sports outside the Big 7 US Sports (NFL/NBA/MLB/NHL/NCAAB/NCAAF/WNBA). The main sports of focus will be Tennis, Soccer, International Basketball, UFC, Golf, Motorsport and eSports (with a focus on eBasketball & eSoccer).  The successful candidate must have superb attention to detail, excellent communication skills, strong reporting and analysis and ideally have industry experience in working across non-US Sports with Tennis and Soccer being of particular benefit.

The role will also require you to lead, influence and mentor a team of highly skilled traders responsible for providing excellent trading and price management to the FanDuel brand for US based Sports.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Global stakeholders to implement the FanDuel Sportsbook and Trading Strategies for the aforementioned sports
• Works with product teams, product marketing, commercial, strategic partnerships, social and all other relevant teams within the FanDuel brand to elevate Sports and update on progress
• Collaborates with Global teams around price accuracy and margin performance
• Collaborate daily with Global Sports on customer friction, especially focusing on FanDuel VIPs. Including but not limited to error reduction, market availability, BIR delays, settlement speed, house rules and cash out.
• Influence and drive internally agreed upon product improvement to lead the US and Canadian markets, driven by North American data, internal business decisions, the competitive landscape and customer opinion
• Consistent short, medium and long-term reporting and analysis about the performance of Global sports for FanDuel
• Play a lead role around events that matter across the FD business such as leading or being a strong contributor to a World Cup 2026 cross functional working group
• Innovative mindset with new product, market and feature suggestions, tailored to North American customers
• Research and report on new trends within the industry, to ensure FanDuel stay up to date on any advancements competitors are making
• Works with the Trading and Commercial pricing strategy teams to look for margination opportunities within International Sports including experimentation
• Deliver on personal and Sport objectives agreed with line manager
• Financial reporting, budgets and reforecasts for International Sports where required
• Present progress on FD relevant items to the wider business via written and in person comms
• Work with the risk team to manage our position/liabilities and help identify broad customer patterns. Help establish new best practices for maximum revenue and customer experience by making and communicating decisions
• Managing and scheduling a Trading team’s operational responsibilities day to day
• Leading a hard-working group of traders, including hiring to keep pace with growth and developing your people to achieve our business and their personal goals
• Mentor traders globally on best practices of odds compiling and price management in the form of direct reports, wider upskilling courses and training the people who will train others.

Technical Competencies:

• Evidence of knowledge-sharing and process improvement/optimisation
• Strong organisational and forward-planning skills
• Excellent report-writing skills, with keen eye for detail & evidence of presenting to senior stakeholders
• Familiar knowledge of the US betting landscape
• Advanced industry knowledge of at least one of Tennis, Soccer and International Basketball Sports
• Pricing strategy knowledge, eg margination would be beneficial
• Experience with Excel, knowledge of SQL, R or Python is helpful
