BI Data Analyst II

Job Summary
The BI Data Analyst II will design, develop, and deliver business intelligence and analytics solutions that drive data-informed decision-making. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights, leveraging Snowflake, Power BI, and other modern analytics tools. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present findings to stakeholders at all levels are essential.
Essential Functions
- Partner with business leads to understand objectives, translate requirements, and prioritize analytics projects
- Champion efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as dynamic Dashboards & Scorecards
- Understand and communicate new reporting data models by working with internal clients, directors, analysts, and developers to deliver high-performance, high-integrity business intelligence reporting.
- Perform data analysis and profiling using SQL and other tools
- Work with architects and other team members and contribute to BI standards and reference architecture
- Participate in brainstorming sessions regarding functional requirements, content organization, process flow, report specifications, and technical integration.
- Conduct thorough testing, validation, and peer reviews to ensure solution integrity
- Uphold governance standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and retention policies
Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
- At least 2-3 years prior experience designing and building business intelligence and analytics solutions.
- Extensive experience working with data visualization / presentation tools, dashboards, scorecards, etc. (Power BI and/or Tableau)
- High proficiency with SQL
- Extensive experience working with cloud database platforms (Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.)
- Working knowledge with dimensional data modeling
- Experience with using generative AI and prompt building to create innovative solutions and enhance data analysis capabilities is a nice-to-have
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practices (ex: Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Manager, Big Data, etc.)
- Professional experience in lending or financial services, e-commerce are a nice-to-have
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have the desire to work on new, innovative, cutting-edge technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
