Location: Hybrid - Location is flexible but you must be able to overlap ½ day with regular east coast hours (at least 9am to 1pm EDT or 1pm to 5pm EDT)

Role Overview

Are you a passionate, detail-oriented individual with a knack for digging into data and uncovering hidden insights? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where your analytical skills can shape the future of innovative products? Join us as a Data Analyst in our R&D team and embark on a journey that will see you contribute to cutting-edge research and product development focused on network experience and marketing decision drivers of telecom ROI.

For the first year, you will be at the heart of our R&D efforts, working as part of a team responsible for pioneering new product concepts and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Following this period, you will have exciting growth opportunities to either ensure the continuous improvement of the products that you've helped create or dive into an entirely new project, applying your expertise to the development of another groundbreaking product.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Partner with client- and market-facing business and product teams understand the client needs underlying product requirements.
  • Scout, evaluate, and integrate new data sources to enhance our existing datasets.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of large datasets, extracting actionable insights and presenting them through advanced visualizations.
  • Contribute, alongside Data Scientists, to the development and implementation of machine learning and statistical models to drive product development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, communicating your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be a key player in the creation of new metrics and dashboard analytics, empowering our clients with deeper insights into both mobile and fixed broadband networks.
  • Focus on network experience and marketing decision drivers that influence telecom ROI, ensuring our products deliver significant value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dive deep into data, using statistical and business models to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
  • Uncover correlations and trends, considering both internal and external factors.
  • Leverage ChatGPT and other GenAI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency in finding solutions and insights.
  • Perform data validation using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Contribute to design and development of automated tests to ensure data quality using Python and SQL.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve data issues.
  • Collaborate on various ad-hoc projects within the R&D team.
  • Beyond the first year, here are some of the responsibilities you might take on:
  • Ensure the ongoing success of products by maintaining, updating, and enhancing them.
  • Analyze product performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, and then act on those opportunities.
  • Generate insightful reports and conduct quality assurance checks to uphold data integrity and product reliability.
  • Apply your skills to support the development of new innovative products, working with cross-functional teams from concept to proof-of-concept stage.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience in quantitative analysis and data modeling.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, Python, and AWS (S3 and Athena).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid experience with business and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, contributing to common goals.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks in a multitasking environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent learner with a passion for acquiring new technical skills and applying them creatively.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Tableau (Desktop, Server, and Prep Builder), or similar data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working practices.
  • Experience with geospatial data.
