Stellar Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated AI/ML Data Architecture professional to support Space Systems Command, Space Sensing Directorate in Boulder, CO. This position provides technical SME and advisory support in a dynamic, high-paced environment while guiding Missile Warning, Missile Tracking, and Missile Defense space and ground programs infrastructure, data architecture and AI/ML decisions geared towards improving analysis of available datasets.  The SME will be responsible for working with a diverse team to provide data architecture solutions to senior government leadership.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The candidate will coordinate across the Space Sensing directorate to assure the ability of the government to execute on leadership vision for the future of data analysis in the MW/MT/MD domain. The ideal candidate will be an expert in various data architectures, image processing, target tracking, big data management.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Coordination infrastructure requirements for large datasets
• Translating ground level R&D AI/ML algorithm development to operational systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving and timely reporting is a must
• Ability to work with senior military/government officials
• Ability to work in a lab environment
• Proactive learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of personal integrity

Required Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• At least 15-20 years of experience in AI/ML, data architecture
• Experience with the OPIR mission areas
• Kubernetes, Docker, DevSecOps experience
• U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances

Desired Skills: 

• MS degree in a STEM field
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• Space experience in the mission areas of OPIR
• Target tracking, classification and analysis

Security Clearance & Other Requirements: 

• U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
• Position is located in Boulder, CO – Note: Position is on-site with Travel expected to be less than 10% of the time. 

Compensation:

The typical salary range for this position is USD $180,000 - $230,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
