Job Description
Are you passionate about using data to drive smarter decisions in credit risk management? Do you thrive at the intersection of credit risk analytics, innovation and client engagement? Join our dynamic Northern Europe Analytics team at Experian as a Senior Analytics Consultant and help shape the future of credit risk management.
What You’ll Do
As a trusted advisor to our clients, you’ll lead high-impact analytics projects, design credit risk solutions from onboarding to collections, and drive value through data. You’ll work closely with banks and financial institutions across the Nordics, helping them navigate regulatory challenges in the credit risk management area and unlock new opportunities through advanced analytics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end analytics projects—from scoping and design to delivery and knowledge transfer.
- Developing new credit risk related scores, and use cases for analytics platforms, including scorecard development and validation, regulatory analytics including IRB and IFRS 9 PD, LGD, EAD modelling, NPL management, forbearance etc..
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying custom and regulatory analytics opportunities, and delivering tailored analytics solutions.
- Acting as a project manager for complex initiatives involving statistical modeling, scorecard development projects through credit lifecycle, machine learning, and analytical sandbox environments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional and international teams to scale Experian’s analytics capabilities.
- Representing Experian at industry events, leading workshops, and mentoring junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a trusted advisor, strategic thinker and hands-on problem solver with a strong foundation in credit risk management.
Qualifications
We think you’ll bring:
- 6–8 years of experience in credit risk model development for banking, finance, or management consulting.
- Deep knowledge of EU/local regulations (IRB, IFRS 9, NPL and preferably ESG).
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL; experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills—able to translate complex analytics into clear business insights.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, quantitative or business management-related field.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English
