Position Summary:
The incumbent is responsible to gather and process information to generate reports needed to help with the decision-making process. This includes total ownership of all the sources of information making sure that they are up to date and accurate. The incumbent will be a liaison between Sales and Product Management for all information and process matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Managers and AP2 planners to provide reports on sales targets and analyze weekly PSI and Aging Inventory
- Collaborate with all pertinent stakeholders to create reports on consumer research, market analysis, competition and channel inventory, review past promotion success, current market, and competitive landscape and provide insights towards future promotions.
- Create claim forms for promotions for the sales team.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of Competition charts per category per model.
- Assist sales team with product setups providing all product information required and making sure the information is accurate and properly formatted for each customers’ needs.
- Support periodical web audits to make sure that our content is up to date and accurate.
- Assist in price comparisons and flyer audit to gather pricing intel in promotional decision making.
- Business analysis including research industry trends and consumer preference, provide monthly management reporting for spend, profit, share with fluctuation and risk analysis with recommendations.
- Assist in benchmarking of our spiff program to assure it is competitive and relevant in the market.
- Data mining and analysis, prepare presentations in collaboration with PMs for upper management.
- Routing of pricing EPs as directed by Product Managers to make any required adjustments to pricing.
- Management of Sample pool. PUMI routing to create or discard samples, managing the sample inventory and make sure we have all needed units and maintain the required level of samples in stock.
- Communicate with internal customers as required
- Successfully complete in a timely manner at any certifications as mandated by HQ.
Employees who achieve Samsung Essentials for Marketing (SEM) certification are equipped with Samsung fundamental marketing frameworks and terminology. SEM certification ensures a “Single Terminology and Single Perspective” across Samsung, and is a must for all marketing employees. SEM Certification is a requirement of the role which is a combination of the following: Samsung Essentials for Marketing (13 courses), 4 Essential courses + Knowledge Assessment (Pass Score: 70% or above). Certification period runs from March to October.
In addition, marketing employees are required to upgrade his/her skills and knowledge annually through SMA. Minimum of 10 hours of learning each year which consists of a minimum of one instructor led SMA course + two online SMA courses.
Requirements
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years working in a junior role is preferable
- Consumer Electronics background is a definite asset
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- The ability to plan, organize and implement marketing projects and programs, disseminate market information and provide the best insights to business plan
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record on results
- Good analytical skills, proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
