Kentro is hiring a Tableau Administrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the deployment, configuration, and governance of Tableau as part of a broader Salesforce-Mulesoft data ecosystem. This individual will play a key role in enabling mission-critical analytics capabilities, overseeing performance, security, and user access in a hybrid cloud architecture. This is a strategic role supporting a high-visibility modernization initiative focused on scalable, offline-capable solutions powered in part by Pulsar.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Tableau Server administration, including user provisioning, permissions, upgrades, backup, monitoring, and license management
- Collaborate with data architects, business SMEs, and technical teams to design secure, scalable dashboards and visualizations aligned to operational KPIs
- Enforce dashboard and data governance standards across development and production environments
- Implement and maintain data integration with Salesforce and other backend sources using APIs or Mulesoft (as applicable)
- Support offline data sync strategies and resiliency for distributed use cases
- Work closely with security teams to meet DHS/DoD cybersecurity requirements and STIGs
- Drive dashboard performance optimization, version control, and change management processes
Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Washington, DC Metro Area preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Tableau administration and dashboard delivery
- Experience supporting federal agencies, preferably in Homeland Security (CBP, TSA, USCIS, ICE) or DoD
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Associate
Preferred:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator, Mulesoft Fundamentals or Developer
- Experience deploying low-code or no-code tools in large federal enterprises
- Familiarity with Pulsar for Salesforce (offline data access module)
- Exposure to agile delivery in hybrid cloud/data mesh environments
- Proven experience administering Tableau Server in a mission-critical environment (GovCloud preferred)
- Deep understanding of data visualization principles and Tableau performance tuning
- Familiarity with Salesforce data models and integration patterns
- Knowledge of government cybersecurity, configuration control, and ATO-related procedures
- Excellent written communication skills to support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer
- Experience in environments with high data sensitivity or compliance constraints
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
