DATA100: Data Engineering Team Lead

Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

JerseySTEM built a MySQL base datawarehiouse with data coming from 30 data sources (API, CSV, Google Sheets)

The DATA Engineering Team Lead is responsible for JerseySTEM ETL processes leading a team of 2-3 Engineers and a Data few interns.

They will champion the use of Integrate.io  (JerseySTEM preferred tool)  across JerseySTEM

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the Data Engineering Team to gather and organize information related to the various Business Units at JerseySTEM.

• Collaborate with the Data Analytics Head to identify DATA Sources to bring into the datawarehouse.

• Master the tool used at JerseySTEM (Integrate.io, MySQL)  and champion the adoption of new tools as needed.

• Assign tasks and provide guidance to Junior team members

• Develop ETL monitoring processes to ensure transparency reagarding status, incidents..

• Interview, recruit and onboard team members

Qualifications

• Interse in the JerseySTEM Mission

• University degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Database Administration, Data Science, Business Analytics.

• Proven experience in data analysis and management.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements
