We are expanding HomeToGo’s technology team in Lithuania and are looking for the brightest talents to join this growing company.

As a Head of Engineering in HomeToGo’s Marketing Technology department, you will lead the teams powering our user acquisition and retention platforms. These systems are critical to engaging travelers across markets and delivering personalized experiences at scale. In this role, you’ll help shape the architecture and direction of our CRM and Paid Marketing infrastructure and applications while fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership. By bridging engineering with product strategy, you will enable data-driven, high-impact marketing initiatives that directly contribute to HomeToGo’s growth, profitability, and mission to make incredible accommodation easily accessible to everyone.

In this role, you will
- Build and empower a high-performing team: Within the first 3–6 months, you will have successfully onboarded and aligned with cohesive team of engineers, driving clear team rituals and growth frameworks, improved engineering satisfaction as measured by internal pulse surveys and delivery metrics
- Deliver impact through strategic project ownership: By month 6, you will have led the execution of all major CRM and Paid Marketing initiatives on time and within scope, delivering measurable improvements in data reliability, campaign performance, or user engagement
- Improve system scalability and maintainability: Within the first year, you will have introduced architectural improvements across core marketing services that reduce incident frequency and on-call load, while enabling faster iteration cycles
- Streamline engineering operations and development workflows: You will have identified and resolved key bottlenecks in deployment pipelines, testing practices, or code review cycles, achieving a reduction in lead time from code to production without compromising quality
- Act as a trusted strategic partner across teams: By collaborating with Product, Data, and Business stakeholders, you will have influenced roadmap prioritization and experimentation strategies—resulting in data-driven marketing capability launched that improves user engagement or conversion
What you will bring
- Proven experience leading backend engineering teams in a product-centric environment
- Strong technical background in PHP (Symfony), Python (nice to have), and infrastructure experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and relational databases (e.g. MariaDB)
- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and deliver complex technical initiatives on time
- Skilled in coaching and growing engineers at various levels of seniority
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with Product and Data stakeholders
- Ability to build technology roadmaps, communicate these to key business and technology stakeholders and achieve buy-in
- Ability to co-ordinate and manage technology incidents in a structured and methodical way, using them as growth and learning opportunities in a zero-blame culture
- Fluent in written and spoken English
