Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Remote) with in-depth knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies, combined with strong experience in Azure infrastructure, networking, and cloud security. This role will be implementing a public facing Azure web services with PowerBi. This position will be fully remote within the United States.  

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of a public facing Azure web services website, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
  • Assist to develop, enhance, and enrich the current website.  
  • Support the O&M and enhancement of a government system with a changing technology stack 
  • Develop and refine new data sources and reports available 
  • Maintain the ability to flex between software programming languages to align to new requirements 
  • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as a code (IaC) using Terraform 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with organizational objectives. 
  • Develop security and accessibility of the information provided through website reporting, to implement cybersecurity, and comply with 508 and other relevant regulations and requirements.  
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize code and infrastructure.  
  • Work in an agile, multi-disciplined team including frontend specialists, DevOps engineers, automated test engineers, architects, and other developers. 
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to take a software factory approach to leveraging and improving continuous deployment pipelines. 
  • Collaborate with automated test engineers to develop integration and end-to-end tests. 
  • Collaborate with your Product Owner, Scrum Master, and team in user story development, backlog refinement, story point estimation, sprint planning, design spikes, task breakdown, daily scrum, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years experience  
  • 3 or more years of experience working on federal contract 
  • 3 or more years of experience in .NET, Python, C# , JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks/libraries. 
  • 2 or more years developing REST API services. 
  • 2 or more years of experience in React or equivalent Single Page Application (SPA) framework. 
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and JIRA. 
  • Strong system design, application programming, and “clean code” skills a must. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals with varying technical skills. 
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile. 

 

Clearance Required:  

  • Must reside and work within the continental U.S. and have the ability to attain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust 

  

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Software development/engineering background. 
  • Familiarity with serverless cloud technologies. 
  • Familiarity with AWS. 
  • Familiarity with Python.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
