  • Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid with 2-3 days on-site in a week
  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams working on Data and AI/ML initiatives. This role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with internal technical teams (Data Engineering, Data Science, ML Engineering), and engaging with client stakeholders to align business goals with technical execution.
    Key Responsibilities:🔹 Project & Delivery Management:
  • Manage and track delivery of AI/ML and data engineering projects across all phases (initiation to closure).

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs.

  • Identify risks and proactively drive mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of all project milestones.

  • Monitor project budgets and optimize delivery costs.

  • 🔹 Client & Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular status updates, reviews, and governance meetings.

  • Translate business requirements into clear deliverables for technical teams.

  • Manage client expectations, feedback, and escalations effectively.

  • 🔹 Team & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and Analysts.

  • Facilitate collaboration across functions (e.g., DevOps, QA, Product).

  • Support team members in prioritizing tasks and removing roadblocks.

  • Mentor and guide junior project managers or coordinators if applicable.

  • 🔹 Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, timelines, risks, and dependencies.

  • Provide clear dashboards and reports to leadership and clients.

  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in Data, AI/ML, or Analytics projects.

  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Smartsheet).

  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

  • Understanding of data platforms, ML lifecycle, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams and translate between business and tech.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification.

  • Exposure to MLOps practices and DataOps workflows.

  • Experience managing globally distributed teams.
