Medicine | School Biomed Sci - Biomedical InformaticsFunction as a Biomedical Informatics Analyst in the Biomedical Informatics Department. Perform the state-of-the-art analysis of spatial multi-omics and immunologic datasets through collaborations with biomedical researchers; mine relevant public domain, commercial, and local datasets; implement integrative analysis of disparate sources of both omics and clinical data; identify and resolve data-related issues. Develop bioinformatics methods and pipelines via working with the faculty in the Department of Biomedical Informatics; implement artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). Interact with biomedical researchers, provide technical expertise and develop successful solutions to meet their requirements; publish results from research projects; and collaborate as co-investigators and assist in designing experiments and developing an analysis plan. Take role in design, preparation, teaching and organization of institution-wide trainings and seek collaborative opportunities.
Minimum Education Required
Master’s Level Degree with a Major in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
Additional Education Desired
PhD Level Degree with a Major in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Level Degree with a Major in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; 2 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in various omics data analysis workflows; fluency with R and Python; previous experience of working in a Linux environment and high-performance computing cluster; requires successful completion of a background check; candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
