Procurement Services Representative IIPosition Overview
The role of the Procurement Services Representative II is critical to executing Shaw’s Strategic Procurement Model. This position supports the needs of Procurement Operations leadership and Sourcing Category Managers, driving complex procurement transactions, resolving escalated issues, analyzing purchasing data, and supporting process improvement. This role is ideal for professionals with procurement knowledge seeking a role with broader responsibility and influence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Procurement Execution – Execute and manage complex and high-volume P2P (procure-to-pay) activities. Support sourcing efforts, high-value PO changes, and proactive match exception resolution.
Compliance Support – Assist in the design and execute processes to ensure transactional alignment with sourcing strategies, supplier utilization policies, and internal approval workflows.
Data Analysis & Insights – Conduct spend analysis, identify purchasing trends, and prepare reports to support decision-making by category managers and leadership. Collect, analyze and interpret complex data to optimize procurement processes by identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving supplier performance and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven insights.
Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with internal business partners and suppliers across all levels of the organization to enable seamless procurement execution and strategic alignment.
Effective Communication – Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed and engaged. Use strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex procurement concepts, recommendations, and data insights clearly and concisely.
Process Improvement & System Support – Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and digital tool adoption.
Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing – Provide informal coaching to Representative I peers and assist with onboarding of new team members.
Sourcing Events – Partner with business partners and global sourcing leadership to support sourcing events (e.g., RFPs, contract transitions) and procurement project management.
Process Integrity – Verify the integrity of the procurement processes, creating and updating documentation as processes evolve.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field and 2-4 years of procurement or supply chain operations experience strongly preferred. HS Diploma and 5-7 years of procurement, supply chain or customer service experience can be considered.
Proven ability to manage processes independently.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an ERP System (Oracle, SAP, etc)
Proficiency with AI or digital productivity tools preferred (Microsoft Copilot, Shaw GPT, Chat GPT, Grok, etc)
