All about the role:
Within the company Global R&D site, your key objectives will be enhance product functionality by designing modular control algorithms and support virtual laboratory development by designing simulation models and automatic software testing for our Fabric & Dish Care products (Washing Machines, Dryers, Washer-Dryers and Dishwashers).
In detail, you will:
- Translate project or product needs into control algorithm requirements.
- Develop and test control algorithms and innovative functionalities.
- Use the Model Based Design approach to develop the control algorithms and automatically generated the code to be integrated in the FW.
- Develop system models (digital twin).
- Perform data analysis and data processing.
- Contribute to the definition of virtual and/or physical test plans for the algorithm development and its robustness evaluation.
- Release the technical documentation describing algorithms functionalities and the standard procedures for the algorithm calibration operations.
- Act as a technical reference for the development/testing/implementation of the assigned activity.
- Collaborate with other teams and colleagues across the Company in order to achieve the project targets.
Who you are:
- Master’s degree in Electric/Electronic/Mechatronic/Automation Engineering or Physics or Mathematics or similar technical fields
- Just graduated or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of MatLab/Simulink and good programming skills.
- Good knowledge in signal processing and statistics.
- Good understanding of dynamics systems and modelling.
- Ability in data analysis and understanding of Machine Learning techniques.
- Knowledge of Control theory is seen as a plus.
- Knowledge of Python is seen as a plus
- Fluent English.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based in Porcia, located in the metropolitan area of Pordenone (Northeast Italy), where the main Electrolux R&D centre is located. Here, in a dynamic environment, we develop and test domestic appliances such as Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Washer Dryers and Tumble Dryers.
