As a Technical Lead - Data Engineer, you won’t just build data platforms—you’ll architect the foundation that empowers strategic decisions across industries. Your mission: to ensure that clean, reliable, and actionable data is always within reach.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of data transformation, leading the design and implementation of scalable data architectures and pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex business needs into robust technical solutions, guiding the team through best practices in data modeling, cloud warehousing, and integration from diverse sources.
Your journey begins by understanding business objectives and translating them into data strategies. You’ll dive deep into raw data, uncovering insights and quality issues, and shaping them into refined, production-ready datasets. With your expertise in modern architectures like Medallion and your ability to navigate cloud ecosystems, you’ll define the standards for data excellence.
But your impact goes beyond engineering. You’ll lead the identification and implementation of AI and machine learning use cases, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and present solutions that drive innovation and measurable business value.

Who You Are

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams in data engineering projects.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines.
• Model data and manage cloud-based data warehouses.
• Integrate and transform data from various sources (flat files, databases, APIs).
• Define data layers and transformations using modern architectures like Medallion.
• Present technical proposals and project outcomes to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead the identification and implementation of AI and machine learning use cases in collaboration with data scientists and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering and technical consulting roles.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, pipeline development, cloud data warehousing, data management, and data governance.
• Familiarity with multiple data sources and protocols.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Desired certifications: AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate, Elastic Certified Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Ability to evaluate and select appropriate technologies based on project needs.
• Strong understanding of business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Industry knowledge in at least one or two key sectors in Argentina (e.g., banking, telecom, manufacturing).
• Excellent communication skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
• Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and its application in data projects.
• Experience presenting technical proposals to executive audiences.
