What you will do
The Fabric Power BI and Python Developer will play a crucial role in advancing our business intelligence capabilities by integrating advanced Power BI development, statistical analysis, and data science into our reporting and analytics processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Power BI, Python, and the Microsoft Fabric Platform, and will work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to deliver innovative solutions that guide decision-making across the organization. This position will be responsible for developing Power BI Reports to meet different business needs, augmenting reporting by deploying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, generating automated insights, and maturing our python usage in and out of the Microsoft Fabric Platform. This role will partner closely with the Head of Business Intelligence, partner with the lead of the COE and Delivery Innovation, and various product teams, to deliver metric/KPI reporting and foster a stronger data-driven culture across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive BI experience within asset management, with a proven ability to lead multi-phase projects and foster a culture of excellence.
What you can expect
As a Director, Fabric Power BI and Python Developer, you will be responsible for augmenting the BI COE team’s advanced analytics capabilities. This role will involve creating and deploying reporting and analytics tools in Microsoft Fabric via Power BI, Notebooks, and Analyze in Excel templates. The ideal candid will have a strong background in data analytics, asset management, data science, and ensuring data-driven insights are aligned with both business and technology strategies.
Develop and implement advanced Power BI solutions: Create complex data models, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
Integrate statistical analysis and data science: Utilize Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning to enhance the accuracy and predictive power of our BI solutions.
Leverage Microsoft Fabric Platform: Utilize the capabilities of the Microsoft Fabric Platform to optimize data architecture, storage, and processing for BI applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with marketing, IT, and customer service departments to understand their data needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
Maintain and enhance BI infrastructure: Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our BI systems and tools.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship: Guide junior developers and analysts in best practices for Power BI development, Python programming, and data science.
Document and maintain standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
Stay updated with industry trends: Continuously learn and apply new techniques and technologies in BI, data science, and the Microsoft Fabric Platform.
Experience in data mining and statistical analysis.
Able to utilize data processing tools to predict trends, identify patterns and provide actionable insights
Maintaining clear and complete documentation for all analytical processes and procedures
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics or related roles
7+ years working in Python for statistical analysis and advanced analytics.
In depth understanding of Fixed Income Asset Management (including portfolio management reporting).
Strong SQL skills and experience with databases
Strong knowledge of database design and data structures
Broad experience building solutions with quick time to market
Experience with cloud-based data solutions, Azure is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate data insights into business recommendations

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The annual base salary range for this role is from $170,000 to $200,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
