We are looking for a highly motivated and talented intern to join our team at AES Clean Energy. The successful candidate will assist in designing and developing a CMS Dashboard and setting up the necessary data connections relevant to condition monitoring. The candidate will also perform predictive analysis using historical data. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and practical applications within the renewable energy sector. This position requires in-person attendance at our office located in Louisville, Colorado. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers and digital team members to gather system requirements.
  • Data cleanup and integration from multiple sources to ensure comprehensive monitoring.
  • Design and develop user-friendly dashboards for real-time condition monitoring.
  • Set up and configure data connections required for the dashboard.
  • Develop and maintain a clean, organized codebase using best practices.
  • Conduct tests and troubleshoot any issues that arise with the dashboard.
  • Predictive analysis and model development with historical data.
  • Document the development process and provide regular updates to the team.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Knowledge/Experience with cloud systems (e.g., GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A keen interest in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SAS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with machine learning model developments.
  • Predictive analysis using advanced open-source packages such as TensorFlow.
  • Previous experience with or any completed projects with Python (i.e., Pandas) and data analytics.
  • Previous experience in managing and maintaining a Git repository.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $21,00 and $30,18/Hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
