BI Engineer

As a BI Engineer/Data Analytics Professional at Exadel Consulting, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights and robust business intelligence solutions for our diverse client base. You will leverage your strong technical skills in data modeling, ETL, reporting, and visualization to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and analytical products. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and excellent client-facing communication to understand complex business challenges and deliver impactful data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on building analytical solutions
• Proven expertise in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and optimization
• Extensive experience with at least one leading BI visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Strong experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) is highly preferred
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python for data processing and automation
• Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts
• Certifications in relevant cloud platforms or BI tools (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Tableau Certified Professional)
• Prior consulting experience with a leading system integrator or boutique consulting firm
• Experience with specific industry data models or enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM data)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, key performance indicators, and data challenges
• Convert complex business requirements into technical specifications for data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI reporting solutions
• Create robust and scalable data models for data warehouses and data marts using various schemas
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into data warehouses
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using leading BI tools like Tableau and Power BI
• Clearly convey technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
• Keep informed on the latest developments in business intelligence, data engineering, and cloud platforms to enhance client capabilities
