We work with banks, issuers of mortgage- and asset-backed securities, investment managers, servicers, and regulators to solve complex business challenges involving market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and IT strategy.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Junior Data Architect to join our team supporting risk analytics and data infrastructure for a leveraged loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data architecture and a collaborative mindset to work across technical and business teams. This role will play a key part in the development of scalable, transparent, and robust data frameworks essential for valuation and risk modeling.Project entails transforming various data inputs (e.g. positions, curve) to feed a Numerix platform library for valuation and sensitivity analysis.  Output returned from Numerix will be stored and shared with downstream applications.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data infrastructure supporting risk analytics for loan-level portfolios.
  • Build and maintain normalized and version-controlled datasets with comprehensive metadata for modeling transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement technical solutions.
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical architecture and data models.
  • Ensure efficient handling of structured data and its transformation across systems.
  • Communicate effectively with technical developers and business stakeholders.
Technical Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data architecture concepts, especially in structured finance environments.
  • Solid foundation in Python, including experience building reusable frameworks and tools.
  • Exposure to grid computing and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with metadata management and data dictionary mapping.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with JSON data formats.
  • Understanding of multi-threaded and parallel data processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS ecosystem services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue).
Business Knowledge
  • General understanding of loan-level analytics and financial data workflows.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling inputs including loan terms, market data, and holdings.
  • Awareness of market data requirements for constructing yield curves.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role involving data architecture or risk analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated interest in finance and working with large, complex datasets.
