Who We Are Looking For

We’re searching for a strategic and visionary Director of Analytics to lead the design and execution of our analytics strategy within the R&D division. In this high-visibility role, you will shape the future of our next-generation games by building a world-class analytics function focused on telemetry design, KPI development, monetization analytics, live service performance, and player behavior insights.

You will lead a cross-functional analytics team that partners closely with Game Design, Product, Data Engineering, Monetization, and Live Operations teams across both early-stage projects and live game experiences. Your mission: to ensure we deeply understand how players engage with our games—and to drive decisions that elevate player satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Analytics Strategy: Define and drive the analytics vision across R&D and live service games, embedding data into every stage of development.
  • Telemetry & Data Infrastructure: Oversee the design and implementation of telemetry systems; ensure clean, scalable data pipelines with Data Engineering.
  • KPI Frameworks: Establish and maintain game-specific KPIs to track player engagement, monetization, retention, and live ops success.
  • Live Service Optimization: Guide analytics for live games, including content performance, churn analysis, A/B testing, and feature tuning.
  • Player & Monetization Insights: Analyze player behavior and spending patterns to inform game design, economy balance, and growth strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and grow a high-performing analytics team; mentor talent in partnering with and delivering key insights to the Product,Marketing,  and IP Development teams.
  • Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Product, Design, and Studio leadership to turn insights into decisions and strategic direction.

What Will Make You A Great Fit

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, with deep exposure to gaming, entertainment, or consumer tech
  • 6+ years leading analytics or data science teams, including senior staff and cross-functional collaborators
  • Proven experience managing analytics for live service games, including real-time telemetry, feature performance, and content iteration
  • Expertise in telemetry instrumentation, data pipeline design, event tracking, and data QA
  • Strong command of game KPIs, player segmentation, LTV modeling, and economy balancing
  • Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R; experience with tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar
  • Experience working with large-scale data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Executive presence and communication skills—able to influence product, design, and executive stakeholders

Bonus Points

  • Experience launching analytics programs for new IP or unreleased games in R&D
  • Deep understanding of free-to-play or multi-platform live service ecosystems
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms and causal inference methods
  • Passion for games, and a player-first mindset that fuels innovation

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $220,000 and $250,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
