Sr Engineer (Slider Factory Control System Engineer)

About our group:

Factory control system team response in drive, develop and deploy solutions to enhance and improve the performance and efficiency of Slider manufacturing processes. We provide data analytics, data visualization, advanced Process control systems, and Machine Learning solution to enable smart factory 4.0. We also work closely with multi-functional teams such as, IT, Process engineers and customer to driving manufacturing quality excellence for HAMR and beyond product.

About the role - you will:

• Responsible for data analysis using analytical software (JMP, Tableau) based on statistical basis to identify root cause and improve CHIRP performance at HGA level included part disposition to protect/minimize issue escape to downstream at Drive level.
• Perform CHIRP mechanical failure excursion analysis by working with cross- functional teams to narrow down root cause and to come up with corrective actions and provide the solution (dilute ship hold materials based on correlation/sensitivity analysis between KPIV vs KPOV to predict downstream impact), increase opportunities to meet target & tolerance of product performance.
• Collaboration with downstream (Slider, HGA and Drive team) to improve product performance in case of downstream related issues.
• Slider mechanical integration: Support design maturity activities driven out of from design center (NRM) to Korat factory. Include product design maturity transition phase for supporting Slider process changing/NPD.
• Responsible for KPOVs/KPIVs data analysis to define root cause analysis and deliver solution to prevent failure or excursion to downstream.
• Collaboration with PE, ME and IT to using AI/ML for KPOVs/KPIVs control.
• Automated monitoring system using SQL, KNIME, Python, & Tableau applications linkage to multi-data source (TK-ODS, TT-ODS, EDW, EHC, & INFLUXDB) to create dashboard and early detect the outliers.

About you:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good command of English and effective communicator in verbal, listening and written communication.
• Data analysis with strong analytical mind in solving business problems.
• Basically, Machine Learning and software development skills, to translate user requirements into high-quality working applications.

Your experience includes:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering majors
• Programming skills/languages: Database, Basic SQL, Python, HTML (Java and C# will be advantage)
• Experience in data analytics tools such as Tableau, JMP, Minitab, KNIME will be advantage.
• Statistical analysis knowledge/experiences will be a plus.
