The Digital Analytics team is responsible for delivering value to digital business units by providing end-to-end support on tracking, measurement and performance analysis, enabling strategic decisions based on data. The team interacts with multiple global areas and local units across BBVA’s footprint (Spain, Mexico, South America and Turkey), and is focused on accelerating the transformation toward data-driven decision-making.

About the job:

We are looking for a data-driven, business-oriented and self-motivated Data Specialist with experience in digital analytics. You will support the digital business by monitoring and optimizing the performance of digital channels, campaigns and processes. You will also play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights through compelling storytelling and data visualizations. You will apply your knowledge of data tools and your communication skills to guide decision-making at all levels of the organization. ​

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report the performance of digital channels, campaigns and customer journeys

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define KPIs

• Extract and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL and Python

• Design and build intuitive and actionable dashboards and visualizations using tools like Amazon QuickSight

• Interpret data and translate findings into business recommendations through storytelling and clear communication

• Participate in the design and implementation of digital tracking and measurement frameworks

• Analyze user behavior through session replay and funnel tools (e.g., Quantum Metric)

• Gather and interpret qualitative feedback from user reviews in platforms such as Google Play Store and Apple Store

• Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure data availability and quality

Required Skills and Experience

• Solid knowledge of digital analytics concepts, including:

  • Web and app traffic analysis

  • Campaign tracking (paid and owned media)

  • Conversion funnel analysis

  • User behavior metrics (engagement, retention, drop-off, etc.)

• Strong business acumen and ability to connect data insights with business goals

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain complex insights to non-technical audiences

• Proficiency in Python and SQL is a MUST

• Experience using visualization and reporting tools (Amazon QuickSight preferred; Power BI, Tableau, etc. are a plus)

• Business sense to put data in perspective, and extract meaningful conclusions

• Experience and knowledge of the financial industry is a plus

• Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing is a plus

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Advanced level of English and Spanish

• 3+ years of professional experience in digital analytics, business intelligence, consulting, or related areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or related areas

• Working knowledge of the financial industry products/services and operations is a plus

• Proficiency in Spanish and English is a MUST
